Located in Udaipur, sometimes called the Venice of the East, this opulent hotel on the banks of Lake Pichola has a breathtaking view of the Aravalli Mountains too. Its standard Lake View rooms start at Rs 26,000 and the Maharaja Suite could go up to Rs 2 lakh.


Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad:
This hotel was formerly home to the Nizam of Hyderabad, whose family has now leased the palace to the Taj Group. Falaknuma Palace is also known as the 'mirror of the sky' because at 2,000 feet, it was built in the clouds and reflects the moods of the sky.
