TATA concept car - Tata MegaPixe

At a time when fuel conservation is becoming imperative across the world, India's Tata Motors is aiming to make a car, Tata Megapixel that can deliver up to 100 kilometres from a litre of fuel by using a unique combination of technology.

The company, which surprised the world with 'Rs.one lakh car' Nano, on Tuesday unveiled the concept vehicle which is a four-seater global range extended electric vehicle (REEV) meant for city driving.

Designed at centers in India, UK and Italy, Megapixel is the progress Tata has to the Tata Pixel concept showcased at last year' Geneva Motor Show.





Turning radius of 2.8 meters helps the car crab in a parking space and is an of the incorporation of the 'Zero Turn' system showcased in the Tata Pixel.

Certain features like the ‘Zero Turn’ drive system where the car crabs into a parking space has been reused on the MegaPixel. This provides an exceptional turning radius of just 2.8 metres!


The MegaPixel comes with a B-pillar less design with double sliding door system ensuring obtrusion-free entry and exit and also enhancing visibility.


Interiors are well organised with space for four adults with luggage and front seats cantilevered on central tunnel for space utilization.

The new innovation from the house of Tatas is likely to be commercially launched in around three years from now.
