Health Effects of Smoking Cigarettes & Home Remedies : Quit Smoking

, , No Comments

Smoking floods your brain with nicotine, which masquerades as the chemical transmitter your brain normally generates to trigger a pleasurable reward . Your brain quickly learns to crave cigarettes when you have a desire instead of employing its own chemistry and spurring you to action. This means that every desire triggers a desire for a cigarette. Consequently, when you try not to smoke, that desire to quit works against you by increasing the craving.

All these sudden changes produced by the act of smoking are what the smoker refers to as a feeling of pleasure, and is the principal fact that makes quitting smoking so hard, if we add to this the fact that nicotine is a chemical very easy to tolerate, we have in our hands one of the most powerful drugs in the world, that is completely legal and can be obtained in any convenience store.
Signs and symptoms of tobacco related diseases often depend on the specific illnesses they cause. (There are many other symptoms of tobacco-related diseases, and these listed here are simply examples.)

Shortness of breath may be a sign of emphysema or heart disease.
Chest pain may signal angina pectoris caused by insufficient blood flow to the heart or a heart attack.

Difficulty swallowing, or persistent hoarseness, may signal a cancer in the mouth or larynx.
Painless bloody urination may signal bladder cancer.

The presence of any of the following common symptoms associated with tobacco use should prompt a visit to the doctor or hospital's emergency department:

Natural lung cleansers

Some natural lung cleansers are grapefruit juice, carrot juice, potassium, ginger, peppermint and cranberry juice. Many of these are foods that help the proper digestion of alkalizing foods which in turn improve the functioning of the lungs. Lime juice can be had on an empty stomach as soon as you wake up. Next, you can have grapefruit juice with your breakfast. For your mid-morning snack have a tall glass of carrot juice. Carrot juice is high in beta-carotene which is transformed into Vitamin A. This gives a boost to your respiratory system. For lunch, try and have a good dose of potassium. Potassium is a good detox agent for the body. It can be found in green leafy vegetables and carrots. Finally before hitting the pillow cranberry juice can be had.

This juice is known to cleanse the urine and blood and is has excellent antioxidant properties. These are the different lung cleansing foods that can be had on a regular basis and more so when you want to follow a lung cleasing schedule.

Here are a couple of things you can do at home to start cleansing your lungs:
·         Try eatting garlic. Two or three cloves of this vegetable should be chewed daily. A small amount of garlic juice can also be added to vegetable juices. This will help ease the passages and will also help clear them.
·         Also the use of lemon or lime is valuable home remedy for emphysema so it may help with your symptoms.  A teaspoon of fresh juice of either of the two fruits should be taken several times a day before or between meals.
