The Exorcist is probably one of the most well known and most favored horror movies of all time. Decades later it nevertheless brings chills to those that watch it. The Exorcist is about a young girl who becomes possessed by a demon. It is up to your exorcist to remove this demon from inside the little girl. Even though this movie is reasonably old, the cinematography is quite good. That, and the blend of the intense music tend to make some scenes incredibly scary.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose can be a more recent horror movie that also did quite well at the box office environment. It involves a teenage girl who is considered possessed by this Catholic church. This movie was quite popular despite several poor feedback from movie critics.
This Shining is another classic horror movie. It stars Jack Nicholson for a tired and frustrated author. He feels like the crna can never concentrate on his writing so he takes a job as a winter caretaker within a hotel. Ironically it turns out the hotel is haunted, so he does not necessarily get to do a great deal of writing.
The Blair Witch Project can be a very low budget horror film. It involves a grouping of people filming a movie inside woods. For a good element of the movie this is a bunch of young adults talking and exploring. But near the end it does get quite suspenseful.
The Ring is arguably one of the scariest movies to come out in the last ten years. It holds extremely popular. The villain in this movie is a young girl who was trapped down a well and at last died there. She comes back to haunt a young woman, her son and her boyfriend.
The Saw series has been a very successful franchise. The original movie received the best reviews from critics, but the different other movies have done great at the box office. The original saw movie begins with two guys who get up in a room together. They do not know how they got there and maybe they are handcuffed to a pipe. They are soon given a series of tasks which must be completed within a period of time or they will end up killed. This movie is not as much scary as it is gruesome and suspenseful.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre begins by stating it’s based on a the case story. It is often debated on what true the story actually is though. Five people on their 20′s go on a protracted road trip. It is supposed to be a lot of fun until their car fights and they find themselves stranded in a small rural town.
